Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been earned on hard surfaces
A comeback Daniil Medvedev secured his initial trophy for nearly 30 months with success over opponent Moutet in the competition championship match.
Medvedev, a former world number one, has experienced a challenging period, achieving just one win at the Grand Slams and suffering a difficult moment at the American major.
Medvedev's varied form on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serving in specific - caused him dropping out of the world's top 10 and eventually splitting with long-term coach Cervara.
Now working with his coach and Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually improved in the recent weeks - peaking in a closely contested three-set victory over challenger Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's maiden trophy since the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard surface after spring of the previous year.
Success also indicates Medvedev has achieved 21 championships at 21 various tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a competition with my children at once, so to secure a championship is especially meaningful," commented world number 14 Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my second daughter my daughter, because the first title I achieved when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had failed in his last six championship matches, including in the German tournament previously this season.
His retrieving play style and regular reactions on the playing surface had prompted commentators to wonder if his ability to compete at the top level was concluded.
However the 29-year-old has made changes in recent weeks, making an effort to advance forward and play aggressively, supported by an enhanced serving game.
Medvedev recovered from a deficit in the opening set against the difficult Frenchman, securing 4 of the concluding five games to take the lead.
The pair traded break points in the middle set before the challenger, bidding for his maiden professional title, seized the initiative to force a third set.
The opponent saved four early opportunities in a tight deciding set before Medvedev broke to fifteen to close out the victory.
Fittingly, the winner clinched the win with a point at the front of the court, with his opponent failing to control a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
